Adriana Pecina-Rios

Adriana’s career in the nonprofit sector began with a strong commitment to social equity and community empowerment. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated exceptional skill in managing complex projects, engaging diverse stakeholders, and driving sustainable outcomes. Her experiences span various roles, from guiding youth as a Juvenile Probation Officer to orchestrating community development initiatives on staff at Opportunity Home. Her most recent position at City Education Partners saw Adriana leading the implementation of the Parent Academy for Student Educational Opportunities, a program dedicated to enhancing educational access and resources for families.

Her experience will be invaluable as she transitions into her role with SVPSA, where she will manage the Fellowship program designed to strengthen nonprofit executive level leaders. As Fellowship Manager, Adriana will oversee the logistics and planning for SVP’s Fellowship sessions, ensuring a seamless experience for both fellows, partners and community leaders who connect through the program.

“We are excited to welcome Adriana to SVPSA,” said Becky Dinnin, Executive Director of Social Venture Partners. “Her passion for community engagement, paired with her wealth of experience, will undoubtedly elevate the impact of our Fellowship program. We believe she will play a crucial role in developing the next wave of social innovators who will tackle the pressing challenges faced by our city.”

Moreover, her bilingual proficiency positions her as an advocate for inclusivity within the Fellowship program, ensuring that all voices are heard and represented. In addition, her understanding of community dynamics will help SVP strengthen its engagement with all sizes of nonprofit organizations.

Adriana also pours herself into our community in leadership and volunteer roles. She has completed the City Leadership Fellowship, LSAISD Education Leadership Development Program, the Latina Leadership Institute, the Community Organizer Training Program at Innovate Public Schools and Racial Equity Training.

As Adriana steps into her new role, we invite the San Antonio community to join us in welcoming her and to stay tuned for the exciting initiatives and opportunities that lie ahead in the Fellowship program. Together, we can foster sustainable change and create a brighter future for all.
